NON-VIOLENCE PROGRAMMES AVAILABLE

We offer non-violence programmes for men and women.

Our clients may be self-referred (including people who are referred by a friend/family member, doctor or other service) or they may be directed to attend by a court or the Department of Corrections.

Self-referred clients generally undertake one of our group based programmes.  The only requirement for self-referred clients is that they agree to participate in the group and attend all sessions.

Clients who have been directed by the Court or the Department of Corrections to undertake a non-violence programme are first assessed by one of our team members and will have a tailored and monitored programme developed to meet their needs and the requirements of the agency that directed them to attend.

GROUP PROGRAMMES

Men’s Work Non-Violence Programme

mens work

Men’s Work is a powerful 17 week group programme designed for men, allowing them to recognise unwanted, controlling or violent patterns of behaviour and to develop positive and personally empowering non-violent ways of thinking, speaking and acting.

Co-facilitated by an experienced male and female team of practitioners, the focus is on personal accountability rather than blame and on supporting men to make conscious choices about how they interact with their families and respond to the world around them.

It is suitable for all men whose behaviour and responses are of concern to themselves, their family or friends.

The group operates on Wednesday evenings and new intakes are conducted each month. For further information, please contact our Client Services Coordinator on 372 9220
